The SO.1 Lav microphone brings highly sensitive and detailed nuanced sound to a small form factor lavalier design. The SO.1 Lav features the same acclaimed sound as its larger siblings, the SO.1 Omni Microphone & SO.101 Omni Microphone, in a significantly smaller and even more portable and affordable package.
The SO.1 Lav is an omnidirectional microphone that has incredibly high sensitivity and low self noise packaged in a small form factor. The SO.1 Law excels at picking up sounds emitted from objects small to large and from close up to far away. We especially like to use the SO.1 Lav on small objects, in very close proximity to hear every micro nuance. Because the SO.1 Lav is omnidirectional, its pickup response is similar to that of the human ear. The SO.1 utilizes Primo's highly regarded EM272 capsule, a favorite among field recordists, sound designers, location sound, and artists working with sound.
We designed the SO.1 Lav to be compatible with all of your favorite Sonorous Objects Standard Series microphone accessories.
The SO.1 Lav Microphone enclosure is fabricated in-house and is assembled by hand in NYC.
