High performance cable with balanced wiring and industry standard Neutrik gold pin connectors designed specifically for use with the SO.4 Microphone. This cable features a Mogami copper shielded cable designed for high tensile strength and long flex life. With a right angle low profile depth of only 10mm at the microphone connecting side, this lightweight and flexible cable is great for portable needs without sacrificing sound quality. The SO Standard Microphone Cable contains internal circuitry designed for use only with the SO.4 Microphones. Available in various length configurations and terminates in either Standard Male XLR or 3.5mm TS/TRS plug.

SO.4 Microphone can be identified with the Blue ring at the XLR connector

Please note the SO Standard Microphone cable has a Black ring at the XLR connector and should NOT be used with the SO.4 Microphone.

What is the difference between the SO Standard Series and SO.100 Series microphones?

The sonic performance between the SO Standard Series and the SO.100 series is the same as both microphone product lines use the same Primo capsules in them. The difference between the two pertains to the physical size of the mics and the included/compatible accessories.

The SO.100 series is 20mm in diameter and is likely to be more compatible with more third party accessories. The SO.100 series have a typical male XLR termination and can be used with any typical XLR cable. The SO.100 series does not include any accessories.

The SO Standard Series mics are much smaller (11mm in diameter), terminate in male mini XLR, use proprietary cables (mini XLR to XLR or 3.5mm) and include some accessories (foam windscreen, alligator clip, cable type of choice (XLR or 3.5mm) We’ve designed and offer a range of accessories to be used with the SO Standard Series - Magnetic Mounts, Stereo XY/ORTF/AB array mounts etc.. The length of the included XLR cable can be extended by connecting any typical XLR cable.
